Tom Waits (ci-contre) fait partie des
artistes que je préfère. Sa voix éraillée,
ses mélodies tour à tour lancinantes et endiablées,
son humour corrosif et sa vision poétique, attachante,
de l'Amérique profonde en font un artiste inclassable.
Lui-même le dit : "What category do I fall under?
I've never fallen under a category. I fell underneath a car
once, and I haven't been the same since."
Tom Waits
a signé de belles bandes originales de films ("Down
by Law", par ex.) et mène parallèlement
une carrière d'acteur.
